The Death of The Wooden Roller Coaster?

Admittingly when I saw this technology for the first time late last year, I was impressed by the ingenuity and flexibility that the I-Box system provides, Along with the obvious improvements in safety and the long term operational and maintenance cost savings that it could potentially bring to the customer. The advanced elements in the prototypes layout certainly push the bounds of what would be possible with traditional wooden roller coaster construction techniques. After thinking about this for awhile, I honestly believe that the technology Rocky Mountain Construction has developed could be the beginning of the end for the wooden roller coaster. For the first time in our industry’s history a technological idea has been developed that has the potential to render a 100 year standard obsolete overnight.
